Celebrate the kickoff of the 2026 United Way Annual Campaign at United We Read on September 14! Volunteers will visit a classroom at a local school or family center to share a story with the students, build connections, and inspire a love of reading.

When registering to volunteer, you will have the opportunity to nominate a local teacher to be entered for the chance to win a gift basket of school supplies.

PLEASE NOTE

• By registering to volunteer, you may be subject to a background check based on school policies. Please bring a driver's license.
• Check-in will take place in the first 15 minutes of your scheduled volunteer shift.
• Dress code is casual. Please wear your "United is the Way" shirt if you have one. If you don't have a shirt, one will be provided to you.
• You will be provided with a copy of "I am We: A Book of Community" by Susan Verde to read to the class. Donated by the Sleepy Dog Books Foundation!
